Ralph arrived in this country in 1919 from Aguascalientes, Mexico with his family, at the age of 7 years old.
As an adult Ralph worked as a citrus foreman for the Irvine Company in Orange, County, Ca. from 1931 to 1977. He lived at the Irvine Ranch house up until his retirement and then moved to Delhi in Santa Ana to a home built on the same lot originally purchased by his parents, Pedro and Felipa. Ralph and Jennie his wife of 75 years had five children, Luis of Sun City, CA, Lupe of Santa Ana, CA, Ralph of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Chris of Santa Ana, CA and Lydia Buckley of Redding, CA.; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
During retirement, Ralph became an avid reader with many subjects being of interest to him. Ralph also loved to garden tending to his rosebushes, lawn and lemon tree with great devotion and care. He also loved family barbeques when his sons and daughters and grandkids would come to visit him and his wife, Jennie, to celebrate birthdays, Father Day's and especially, his and Jennie's 70th wedding anniversary. His first thoughts always were on the well-being of those around him. His thoughtful, loving and caring ways will be missed by all his family and those who came to know and love him. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday August 7th, 10am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin.
